Review

Reviews published by Genome Biology are authoritative syntheses of topics of current interest, written by leaders in the field. Most Reviews are commissioned by the Genome Biology editors and we do not encourage uncommissioned submissions for this type of article. However, potential authors are welcome to email a presubmission enquiry to editorial@genomebiology.com.

All Reviews published by Genome Biology are peer reviewed. The in-house editors work closely with Review authors both before and after peer review to optimize the structure and clarity of the article.

Abstracts for Reviews should be no more than 100 words in length.

The word limit for the main text of Reviews (excluding the reference list and figure legends) is 5,000 words.

Up to 200 references can be cited.

Reviews can contain up to 5 display items (tables and/or figures).
