In the right panels, the letters A, B, and C identify the combination of inversion types (alleles) that individuals (n = 948) carry, with A referring to the most frequent and C to the least frequent allele. Above the LD plots marker positions in Mb are given. PCA included all SNPs on the respective chromosome. Note that h includes a few (n = 18) females that were called as heterozygous for the inversion. These are carriers of occasional double crossovers
